Find out what there is to do from concerts to events and beyond! The Superbowl will be taking over sports bars, pubs, and some restaurants this Sunday. If you dont intend to hang out at your house (or someone elses), be prepared and pick your football destination. From Tacoma to Seattle, CBS Seattle has a list of places to watch the Superbowl worth checking out that includes cool microbreweries like the Harmon in Tacoma and Coopers Alehouse in Seattle. For a more complete list of Seattle Superbowl spots, the West Seattle Blog also has a great list. In Tacoma specifically, many of the Tacoma sports bars will have the Superbowl on. The Swiss, while its not a sports bar, puts on a superb Superbowl party with a 10x10 projection screen, lots of beer on tap, and great food. If you live near UW-Seattle or attend school there, make sure to check out the Neptune Theatre for events to attend. There are a lot of affordable and even free shows at this silent-film-era movie house that was just converted into a multi-use venue last year. While the Neptune gets its fair share of touring shows, there are also many community and local acts on here. Alternately, if you are seeking great concert venues, both the Showbox at the Market and Showbox SoDo are known for putting on hundreds of concerts per year. Showbox at the Market alone averages about 200 shows each year! Both Showbox venues are exclusively music venues. |
