Find out what there is to do from concerts to events and beyond! Seattle colleges include a variety of higher education institutions that serve many needs within the community. For degree-seeking students, Seattle universities may be the best places to head to continue your education. Between Everett and Olympia, there are many universities and four-year colleges to pick from. Small, private liberal arts colleges, public universities like University of Washington, and many distance-learning and university systems such as DeVry or City University ensure a range of choices. If youre looking to save some money on your degree, community colleges are fabulous resources. These colleges allow students to get a transfer degree and save some money on the way to an advanced degree, but also serve as powerful tools for general life advancement as well. Community colleges offer high school completion, ESL courses, professional programs and certificates, continuing education classes, and jump starts for high school students who want to get ahead. Events in Seattle for the weekend of February 17 are, as usual, quiet varied. "Oklahoma!" is still on at the 5th Avenue, or get in touch with your artistic side. The last weekend of "Painting Seattle" at the Seattle Asian Art Museum is on, with free admission on February 19--the last day of the exhibit. |
